Vetsep® solution is an antiseptic preparation containing 3% Cetrimide and 0.3% Chlorhexidine, with a mild lemon fragrance, providing versatile broad spectrum antibacterial disinfection.
Actions:
Vetsep® Solution a general purpose disinfectant and antiseptic for use with animals and in animal treatment areas. Cetrimide, a cationic surfactant, is a quaternary ammonium compound. Chlorhexidine is a biguanide disinfectant. Both are very effective against gram +ve bacteria at low concentrations. At higher concentrations they are effective against gram –ve bacteria and some fungi. Together they are effective at high rates of dilution.
Indications:
Vetsep® Solution allows gentle, effective disinfection of the skin and the cleansing of cuts and wounds. It can be used for disinfection of general working areas and is useful for emergency disinfection of instruments. Suitable for disinfecting ear-tags and as a general disinfectant around the farm.
Directions for Use:
As a general disinfectant:
Dilute 30ml – 50ml with 10 litres of warm water.
For first aid, skin or wound cleaning:
Dilute 20ml with 1 litre of water.
